Made from Hand Selected, Salvaged Cedar

We have the privilege to hand select our cedar, direct  from our local sawmill on Vancouver Island, Tofino, where we live. All Cedar is salvaged  to ensure full utilization of our forest resource as well as assisting our local economy.

We are right at the source of Western Red Cedar, therefore we can give our Cape Cod Chair  8” wide arms and a full 1” cedar throughout. Benches and chairs are cut from 2” thick and 4”and 6” wide cedar boards and are handcrafted with old fashioned Tenon and Mortise Joinery, waterproof epoxy is added for extra strength. Every piece of cedar we cut is routed, sanded and shaped to fit the contours of your body.

Worldwide Shipping

All furniture is designed for shipping worldwide. We at Clayoquot Crafts assemble all of our furniture before they leave our shop, then partially disassembled for shipping, They are shrink wrapped, bubble wrapped and boxed. We take great pride in our product and are so confident that we guarantee every piece we ship for life.
